Richard Sapper and Marco Zanuso

An the early 1960s, an important collaboration began between the German designer Richard Sapper and the designer and architect Marco Zanuso, a partnership that would last for many years.
Brionvega, sensing the potential of the two, entrusted them, in 1959, with the restyling of the production with the ambition of competing with Japanese and German producers.
Sapper and Zanuso, soon conceived radios and televisions must of Italian design.

Achille Castiglioni and Gianfranco Cavaglià

In 2002 Achille Castiglioni together with his friend and colleague Arch. Gianfranco Cavaglià confronted himself with the importance and meaning of 'handle. Together they designed a set of pencils and pens, creating various wooden prototypes until today kept in the Castiglioni archive. The goal is to focus attention on the importance of the pencil as a daily tool and a means for expressing ideas, visions and thoughts. For these writing and drawing tools they thought of a trefoil arched shape which, thanks to its functional characteristics, would concretize the true alliance between mind, hand and object.
